One of the biggest problems I have with liberals is they have no problem at all pushing agenda's they have absolutely no knowledge of. First off, and for the one billionth time, a semi-automatic long gun IS NOT a "weapon of war" or an ""assault weapon". If you brought this type if gun to a war, you would be outgunned, overpowered and killed within minutes, if not seconds. So, stop it!! Secondly, they all use the same tagline that Bernie used in this video "Assault Weapons were designed to kill people… RAPIDALLY"! I don't know what he thinks he means but this is simply not true. All semi-automatic guns will fire as quickly as the shooter can pull, release and pull the trigger. Doesn't matter if it's a long gun or a small pistol. So, stop it!!! When asked about citizens being concerned about a ban on semi-automatic long guns as it relates to their ability to defend themselves and their constitutional rights being violated, Bernie begins by telling Joe where he's from, that they like hunting there and then goes on to say that he realizes it's our there right but that basically, we should surrender our God given rights whenever we are afraid. All I ask of the other side is, if you have an opinion, please base it on FACTS and not popular talking points that are completely untrue and based on fear. Carry on.
Anyone can snap and do something they regret in the heat of a moment. Americans access to guns makes it too easy to kill. Make it harder to acquire like here in Australia….
I admit that this is but one of many elements of the problem, but I think that different gun laws in different states is one thing that is enabling these shootings. I think that gun laws like background checks need to be nationwide if they are to have any teeth. When you have one state with strict laws and an adjoining state with lax laws then criminals just drive the the adjoining state to get the guns they need for their nefarious purposes. Our patchwork approach to gun laws isnt working.

Nobody owns assault rifles without a class 3. Its a sporting rifle
