Why does Joe always seem to run from the critics, rather than stand and say fuck off. He’s throwing Gavin under the bus.
Joe is too ignorant to understand that bad press is better than no press. Even if he was criticizing the creation of the Proud Boys, which he wasn't he was criticizing the tactics, he began promoting it the moment he decided to have Gavin on. And the idea that Gavin wasn't surrounded by white nationalists when he was leading that group is silly. He started it to defend western chauvinism. What the hell does Rogan think that meant when McGinnis told him that on his show? And to the idea that Gavin doesn't have connections to white nationalism, The Proud boys showed up in Charlottesville and stood with the Klan and the Nazis while McGinnis was still leading the group. He didn't leave the group until 2018, long after that took place. Yes Joe from its founding the Proud Boys have been a far right racist organization. You just agree with a bunch of racist nonsense so you don't notice what you platform.
Joe's version of the world is as ignorant as it is pathetic.
Gavin founded the Proud Boys as a men's club. He left when it started to go sour and has no affiliation with its current incarnation whatsoever. His episodes on JRE were some of the best I've seen.
