n Acts 2, when people wondered how to respond to Jesus on the day of Pentecost, they asked the apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do? Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit”
Jesus covers the first case with the statement He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; . He covers the last two cases with the statement but he that believeth not shall be damned. . If one does not believe, he will not be saved, whether or not he has been baptized.
For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection
While Jesus told Nicodemus, “Amen, Amen, I say to you, no one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of water and Spirit”
