No, Dr. Peterson is not Alt-right. He's a Liberal Academic. He's not even as conservative as my brothers and sisters. He even wrestles with his views on Christ. Professors are just people. He's a guy who was trying to be a voice of centrism & reason and gather the country to review the hysterics of the time. Humans are so dramatic, and Dr. Peterson was expressing himself to try and help. That is not the same as when you write a peer reviewed publication. He's off his head with some of this. People have to stop having such absolute judgments. There are always details when you get closer to the subject.
WOKE is wrong for this reason and the math is all wrong on WOKE. It doesn't analyze anything other than, we know everything is corrupt and we're basically going to riot and cause civil unrest until the law stops you from rioting. When you generalize with a wide-angle lens, or pervert the ideas of an orator, you're doing the same thing as stereotyping. People did this to Dr. Martin Luther King. This is another common American form of radical censorship. There is always someone who wants to shut you up. We don't even understand the concept of freedom, if a professor of psychology can't go out there and say "Hey, hold on, let's review this". We used to have "Firing Line" with William F. Buckley. These were the world's highest academics and politicians. You wouldn't dare just go WOKE on that show, the scholars would embarrass you. Although there were Black Militants on that show. You can compare the attitudes on YouTube, "Firing Line". I grew up watching that show. I think JRE is taking place of this needed moral ground for political dialogue in America.
I love Dr. Soh. She has a well thought out thesis on Gender Identity, more developed than Jordan Peterson's. I am liberal too and I am not with Trans Kids or the continual and systematic racial inflammation we have. I think some of the racism is disingenuous. Everyone has to try and work on this. We can make this racial thing go away. We are not really at war with each other. People are massaging this idea which is dangerous because you're teaching our kids these mores via news programs that are less than academically supported and parents who are not doing their homework.
The news media function at about 13th grade, and it is very negative. Dr. Peterson is kind of positive guy generally. He just knows there is a psychological component to all the social phenomena we have been experiencing. He's trying to help people make sense of this very confusing time. But Alt-right, not even close… Conservative Liberal, but not as conservative as many. Chris Hitchens was much more blasphemous and would have eaten Dr. Peterson for breakfast on religious matters, but Jordan Peterson is a good person. You're blind if you don't see that. Very sincere guy.
