  1. I was also a former Baptist, had been for almost 25 years when I met someone who was sent to me from It is Written to have personal Bible Study with me in my home. I tried to keep my feet in both churches. Once I started attending an SDA church, the Baptist church I was a member of was jealous. This shocked me. I did not proselytize the Baptist Church, as they accused me of joining a cult. They were very hostile toward me. In fact many of my friends who loved me had died previous to my discovering Adventism. Twenty-six of my dear friends had died within a year just before I discovered adventism. it was a year of mounrning and funerals for me. Losing so many dear Christian friends. During that time a great apostasy entered that particular church. I watched as they turned away from God to my great horror. Today, that new building which was built while I was there, was repossessed by the bank. The land which had belonged to the church for some 40 years was also taken, the church disbanded, and the building was raised, and now apartments fill this property. The physical presence of this church is no longer there!

Meanwhile, I have now been a member of Hood View Seventh Day Adventist Church for almost 15 years and thriving! I am a prayer warrior. I love Jesus and we have had a building program, and our church has nearly raised 1 million dollars to complete our project. We are a small group. Unlike the church I was a member of previoulsy, this church did not borrow beyond it's capabilities and beyond what God told us to do. WE only borrowed a mere 75,000 dollars and have paid that back. We are on the third year of our project! I stand amazed. I was fearful as I had been a member of three churches involved in building projects, all of which lost major funding and buildings due to embezzlement, and lying and cheating. I was so afraid. This time, God spoke to my heart, and asked me to make a committment beyond my 10 percent income. I did it faithfully. I continue to give and have been blessed! I am on SSDI, and my sister is too, and we have been through predatory rent hikes, yet God has provided for us. Amazing. WE continue to give back to God what is HIS. WE know everything we have belongs to God. With this attitude, we gratefully give to HiM, to the church for the ministries to help others, especially the homeless and to the food bank and to our building ministry. We continue to see God's blessings. I give to Amazing Facts too. I see how God is blessing people through YOUR ministry too. Praise God. Thanks for YOUR ministries. I will conitnue my giving as God directs, for HE is in charge of my life.

Bless you!! Thanks for these wonderful programs!!! I know that there are brothers and sisters out there in other churches and I do pray for them too.

  2. You know, doughy, every time you start bragging about your "experiences" you are actually lessening any respect you think you are gaining. Your assumption that no one knows anything – well, says that you do in fact have somewhat of a mental disability. Insulting the good people you are receiving money-honestly, with sweat, and humbly earned-that shows just how troubled you are. You still have time to learn humility. "Brother".
