Ok can we just all agree that the electoral college is terrible.
He's saying we shouldn't have cities cause there's "too many democrats there" fully ignoring the fact that there's a reason cities exist, they are powerhouses of economy where trade and exchange happen. They don't deny that govt can do good things because it's true. Republicans just ignore this.
He also says people who live in big population centers start to think alike.
So do people in rural areas, only those rural areas are now hugely overrepresented and believe huge swathes of reality that doesn't really exist because they are generally less informed and follow extremely biased and deceitful news sources. Far beyond the "cnn is shitty news" trope, Fox is total misinformation and propaganda. Deliberate lying is common and part of the intended programming of the minority now ruling the country.

They don't want the correct representation, they want a representation that favors republicans staying in power and that the 49 percent gets to govern the rest of us.
They don't want the 51% telling them what to do… but they are perfectly happy with the 49% telling everyone else they don't matter, the 49% telling the 51 percent what to do.
With that, the imbalance in the senate, and the gerrymandering giving seats to Republicans, they're perfectly happy telling us, the majority, how we should live.
