This guy might as well have both eyes covered. He likes to be blind anyway.
There is a patent on new drugs that lasts 10 years. After this time any company can manufacture the drug. The problem in America is that they leave the negotiating to a private company who has to pay the price for the drugs and then sell it, they don't have an interest to decrease the price because they'll get back their money and profit anyways when they sell to the people. What other "socialist" countries do is they themselves directly negotiate with the pharma companies, the government doesn't look to make a profit off the people, so their interest is to lower the price as much as possible and break even.
Crenshaw wants you to believe tha companies spend billions lobbying and paying former elected officials into positions after they leave office for no good reason whatsoever
