I think you’re mistaken about Jesus not knowing the day or the hour. When he took on the form of a servant and humbled himself to be obedient to the death of the cross, he divoided himself of some divine knowledge. Now that he’s back in Heaven, he knows when He’ll be back as does the Holy Spirit.
We are children of God the most High,with Jesus sitting on his right. (His right hand man,if you will allow me that indulgence). I have issue with the first two statements made,as He will keep us in the light so that that day should not overtake us as a "thief in the night". Witness the first. I Thess.,all of chapter five. NO PRIVATE interpretation. We are not children of darkness. Witness the second. When the "abomination of desolation" happens,let those in Judea flee to the mountains. When the two olive trees begin to prophesy outside the Holy Place is the key to understanding,and the forty two weeks serve us as a warning as to when. Let those with understanding take heed.
