Hemp used to be a huge crop in Japanese economy back in the old days just like it was here in the US. It was after WW2 that Americans influenced them to ban it in return for American economic partnership. Big wigs here in the US probably pulled those strings. Its all money going to the elite.

In Hokkaido, Japan in the 1990s some of foreigners living on the island had their secret garden plots hidden away in the forests. A guy I knew harvested his little plot and not long after returned to Canada. He had forgotten that he'd stashed a few ounces of homegrown inside his guitar. He passed thru Canadian customs and later discovered his stash still inside the guitar.
In Japan, an ounce is MASSIVE. That's why I'm proud to be an American. 🇺🇸
An ounce in Japan is serious, it aint anything like the west. You get your life changed forever with that amount if you get caught with it.
