My grandfather and uncles have won those Calcutta bets 3 times I believe. 2 with Mako and 1 thresher. Was an incredible time, That town is no longer the same these days unfortunately
Okay I lived in Ocean City Maryland for many many years. That hosts the largest bill Finn fishing tournament in the world the white Marlin open. But there's at least five or six shark tournament a year. Not to mention just random going out and shark fishing with a couple buddies. Best fishing I've ever had in my life was when I caught at least 15 ft thresher. Took me three and a half hours to get that sucker to plane. That means getting it above water it was so big that is tail with slapping the canopy of our 35-foot sailfin center console. Shark fishing is not look down upon an Ocean City Maryland baby. When I fish for maaco I would have a freezer for meat for the entire year and I eat maaco all year if I didn't sell it to the local restaurants and we came ashore. You don't know what you're talkin about unless you live in a coastal town and a tourist town. People eat what they catch trust me. One more thing I have to edit this that most fisherman's do treat the ocean is sacred. We got that pressure up we could tell it was a cow and it was pregnant and we let her go. Most fishermen will release and only keep what is allowed to keep. We treat the ocean as sacred I don't know where you're seeing all this garbage but not an Ocean City Maryland.
I do think it should be perfectly fine to kill any sharks who have attacked beachgoers without being provoked. Now u out trying to feed em by hand run outta fish shark still hawngry and bites off ur hand… on u genuis. The beautiful but absolutely insane chick Ocean whoever … man itll be a damn shame cause she got a hot lil body which may be why these sharks dont attack her cause be like us having 1 mozzarella stick… but sooner or later she gonna catch tha wrong shark on tha wrong day… but thats her fault.
