You go far enough left and you get your guns back Joe.
Im not against peoples right to defend themselves, but a gun is not idiot proof at all. Its a good thing the US is so large, else accidental gun deaths wouldve been higher exponentially.
If any idiot can have a gun, theres an infinitely higher chance said idiot will do stupid shit and get someone else hurt or killed. People who wear guns on them are also more paranoid about other people being armed. Firearms escalate situations REALLY easily.
Im happy my country has very strict gun laws, so I wont have to worry about some jackass in my neighbourhood accidentally (or in a fit) sending lead flying through my living room.
I dont trust teens with laser pointers either.
Thats why Im against free ownership of firearms. Having free gun ownership makes firefights much more likely, and youll have to ask yourself whether your life will be worth losing over your wallet or your flatscreen TV, or worse, a petty fucking argument. Another positive, people suffering from depression will have a harder time ending his own life.
And my last argument is the military, how are you gonna defend yourself from the "guberment" even if you own a damn gatling gun or bazooka?
They are more a danger to your life than youd think.
Im all on board about the worker deserving to defend himself and his freedom, but i dont know about you guys, but if they really wanted to they could just nuke our houses…
Being pro gun is not just a right wing but also a far left position.
