It’s just perspective. I grew up in Wyoming. Still live here. Being out in the sticks is second nature. I see hurricanes and big ol critters down south and I’m like nope. But I speak with people from those areas and they’re scared shitless of blizzards, are daunted by mountains and have the same feeling about hurricane that I have of blizzards “oh, that’s nothing. Just a blowing rain storm.” They drive casually through hurricane the same way I do blizzards. They’re as scared of mountain lions and bears as I am of gators. And they’re wrestling gators. We’re like animals- what we’re accustomed to is what we don’t think of
I’ve had deer walk right through my tent camp in the bighorn mountains.
It is NOT Yellowstone. Not allot of people around and there IS hunting.
It’s the strangest thing.
When I say walk right through I mean…10 or 15 feet. That close. No exaggeration.
Slow walking and pass on by.
We had a falcon try to come thru the window after our cat. Tried for FOUR HOURS to get in. Was terrified
I have. Bears, wolves, deer, moose, coyotes, foxes, bald eagles, badgers, etc and I live in Southern Manitoba
I went to grand Turk a few months ago and there was wild dogs all along the island. I do believe they can be wild animals
