Played quake mp with some buddies the other day (yes in 2024) was a tun of fun for all these reasons!
We had a LAN party for Quake 2 that went on for 5 days. My mate went out to the shop at 2am and when he came back he said, 'we gotta stop playing. I was in Tescos and the flag alarm went off and I saw a red guy chasing a blue guy down the isle. I nearly meleed him.'
anyone playing quake 2 remaster ?
I personally don't like this resource managment routine in multiplayer of Quake, Unreal Tournament.
We play game to have fun, not for counting seconds before the gun to respawn to rob competitors.
Playing unskilled with your unskilled friends is the fun.
I think, it is the exact reason why battle royale games become so popular: newbies have a chance to play for fun.
Quake is the best game ever made.
