rage was a truly excellent game on the xbox 360. if you havent played, id recommend.
While technically impressive, Rage was just too bland to play IMO. All I remember of it was the wing stick and the driving stuff. It's just way too derivative with its setting. I hate how idSoft went that way after JR left, and all the weird eclectic themes in their games went with him. He put all that creativity into Daikatana, which had a cool setting and premise, but it flew too close to the sun. The only game from id that came close again was Quake 3, and only because the art direction went (relatively) wild in that game.

What a load of crap Rage was a God awful game because you tried to be like modern games and just created the most boring and generic game and story, and as for the engine there's nothing wrong with ID Tech 5, the problem was you limited to the limitations of the PS3, we saw watch ID Tech 5 could do with Wolfenstein The New Order on PS4 and Xbox One.
