And now social networking is censored and our freedom of words is taken away and we're ridiculed in the united states for speaking our mind on these social platforms. Other countries should not be allowed to communicate with other countries our internet needs a filtering and monitoring system to other cultures
Social networking was originally meant to stay in touch with people we've actually met in life not strangers following and stalking us
I'm with him on this. I use internet and social media to follow passionate people doing great things. I never quite understood those, who whine about having body image issues, but still watching insta models in bikinis. Just don't watch. It's that simple.
This is the truth. In my very young days parents were worried that the rather newly mainstreamed television would destroy our psyches. And they were right. The television was the first instrument to program the mass population on what to wear and what you drove determined what you were. Today however the problem has only exponentially amplified with the social media. There are two ways the modern media is hurting your mind. First, it is bombarding you with caustic news that is keeping our country divided–regardless of what side of the political fence you sit on. In my day you got a half hour of Walter Cronkite for the news on one of your four television stations. Today it is literally nonstop. It keeps us in a state of total agitation and anger. Second, social media is giving constant comparisons to others that are illusionary. That perfect profile you envy? It probably isn't. I once knew a couple with this perfect suburban profile. In real life he was downsized, the marriage was on the rocks and they were about to lose their home to foreclosure. End point for this advice as it is the topic for my own subscribers this week. If you want to progress your life you should drop the comparisons and the negativity so you can focus on advancing yourself to where YOU wish to be. For that is the only scale you should ever use. Hope this helps someone—Charles.
The idea is dont let social media control you, but to be able to use social media to better yourself.
