Funny he describes psychedellics as more intense. I consider alcohol to be potentially one of the most intense, hard drugs you could take- the only drugs that incapacitated me more were; DMT, salvia and 5F-AKB48 (synthetic cannabinoid). I consider most psychedelics to be comparitively tame, but a very unique and interesting drug, alcohol for all it's intensity is boring. Morphine just feels nice and comforting.
I used to be able to find pro hoax videos and articles 10 years ago on Google but apparently they are suppressing this co tent because I can’t find ONE!
Please note that the drugs Rogan has access to are different than what is readily available on the street which are the drugs that young people have access to and it is the street distribution that provides the drugs that are killing our children by the thousands. These drugs must be stopped. It is dangerous to promote drugs in this way. Joe’s popularity and attitudes toward drug use might lead young people to think drugs are safe and acceptable leading them to use and an eventual overdose. Joe should rethink his approach to this discussion.
Penn has spoken a lot about never drinking or doing drugs and has mentioned a couple other things, like Iggy Pop and Lou Reed completely not understanding what no alcohol or drugs meant. He told them and they went, "So just weed then?" No, nothing. Not once ever. "Ah, loud and clear, just cocaine". Nothing ever. "Only speed, I hear ya" No drugs!!!!! He's also said, Bob Dylan putting out his own whiskey may be the one thing that gets him to finally take a drink and then figured, if he starts now and really likes it, well then never doing it would have been a waste and that would make him sad.
Joe and his DMT… Haha. Sam Harris also influenced me to try meditation. I'll admit I don't really get it, at least from the few times I attempted it. I guess it could be an effective way to calm one's mind, but how people supposedly achieve psychedelic states from meditation alone is beyond me.
I really don't think Penn is missing much by being sober. He could take Joe's advice and try psychedelics once, but if he sees himself as an addictive personality, he is wise to not touch booze.
