I can get the thought of college being almost obsolete in a technology fueled world. But one thing I always hate is when business owners bash college but then require degrees to hire people.
If you forgive the people that have student debt right now, what are you gunna do about new student debt people acquire? Forgive them too in four years?
Hey Joe. Although I totally agree with our government absolving student loans for disabled veterans (we should do a whole lot more for them also), I completely disagree with absolving student loan debt for people who VOLUNTARILY acquired these loans in the first place. Their choice! It's pretty easy to have this type of opinion when you make more in a year than you could ever spend in a lifetime. BTW, exactly how much of the 200 million from your Spotify contract ALONE, do you use toward helping people who have heavy student debt??? You could use 150 million of that to help student loan debt, and still have 1000 times the annual American's salary. Man, I love your podcast but don't be a f'ing hypocrite.
Why not do the yearly income tax deductable. The student work hard to find job to reduce his or her debt and making money at the same time. While corporation get the work force to make money, and country can get the money back from corporation.
For the sake of discussion: why don’t we give a tax credit to those who paid of the student loan debt then?
Say you paid $500 a month for student loans, and at 12 months ($6K) we cut a check for the interest they paid for those 12 calendar months? Maybe with partial or hell even full interest taken?
