Mike and Roy are the goats .
Roy tried fighting Holyfield in 1997, but Holyfield didn't want it, because he was chasing the undisputed heavyweight championship and didn't want to get stripped by avoiding a mandatory, (like Bean) as he pursued the unification match with Lennox. At that point it would've been a hell of a fight, as Holy was still fast as all hell and relentless, and near the top of his game as he demonstrated vs. Tyson and Moorer.
Roy didn't become "THE" heavyweight champion, he won a heavyweight title that was stripped from Lennox Lewis and it even then that title was actually rightfully Holyfield's, but they robbed Holyfield blind in the 3rd Ruiz fight. It was still a great accomplishment, but he was not Heavyweight Champion of the World.
I thought like joe. I thought he beat tavener, went up to heavyweight, then came back down and got ko'd by tavener.
Had Roy of settled into cruiserweight after beating Ruiz I think he’d of had more prolong success that weight cut destroyed his body.
