4. Will Jesus "return" be on the Mount of Olives ? The simple answer is NO, for Jesus told his eleven faithful apostles hours before he was executed on a stake: "I will not leave you bereaved. I am coming to you. In a little while the world will see me NO MORE ("no more", Greek ouketi, meaning "no longer, no more, no further"), but you will see me,"

   "because I live and you will live (by being resurrected as immortal spirit "sons of God", 1 Cor 15:53, as Armageddon is arriving). In that day you will know that I am in union with my Father and you are in union with me and I am in union with you."(John 14:18-20)

   At 1 Peter 5:4, Peter wrote: "And when the chief shepherd (Jesus Christ) has been made manifest (at Armageddon, at "the last trumpet", 1 Cor 15:52; "God's trumpet" 1 Thess 4:15-17; "the 7th trumpet", Rev 11:15), you will receive the unfading crown of glory (as a "new creation", 2 Cor 5:17)", as Peter wrote prior to this:

   "Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (showing Jesus as NOT God, as having a father as ALL sons do, as having God as his father), for according to his great mercy he gave us a new birth (or being "born again", John 3:3) to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an incorruptible and undefiled and unfading inheritance."

   "It is reserved in the heavens for you (the 144,000 "Jews", Rev 7:4-8, or spiritual "Israel", composed of Jews and Gentiles, Rom 11:11, 12), who are being safeguarded by God’s power through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last period of time (or "last day", see John 6:40, that began in 1914 when Jesus was crowned king of God's Kingdom, Dan 7:13, 14; Rev 6:1, 2)……..in order that the tested quality of your faith……….may be found a cause for praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ (at Armagdddon, see 2 Thess 1:7-9)."(1 Pet 1:3-5, 7)

   At Matthew 24:29-31, Jesus said: "Immediately after the tribulation of those days (or after phase one of "the great tribulation", Matt 24:21, in which the religions of the world, called Babylon the Great, and of which Christendom is a major part, have been "stripped naked and burned up" by the political "ten horns", Rev 17:12, or member nations of the "scarlet-colored wild beast", the United Nations, Rev 17:3, 16, 17),"

   "the (symbolic) sun will be darkened, and the (symbolic) moon will not give its light, and the (symbolic) stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken (or governments and human institutions people have looked to for protection and security are rapidly collapsing, crumbling, see Luke 23:30; Rev 6:16, 17)."

   "Then the SIGN ("sign", Greek semeion, meaning "an indication, a sign, mark, token") of the Son of man will appear in heaven (whereby Jesus does NOT appear visibly, but an "indicator" showing he is invisibly "present"), and all the tribes of the earth will beat themselves in grief,"

   "and they will see (or discern) the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven (denoting being invisible, see Job 26:9) with power and great glory. And he will send out his angels with a great trumpet sound, and they will gather his chosen ones together from the four winds, from one extremity of the heavens to their other extremity."

   At Hebrews 9:26-28, the apostle Paul wrote: "But now he (Jesus Christ) has manifested himself once for all time (in the flesh, as "the last Adam", 1 Cor 15:45, to replace the "first man Adam" who proved rebellious, as obedient mankind's "father") at the conclusion of the systems of things to do away with sin through the sacrifice of himself (and NEVER again to come in the flesh, for that would make "null and void" his first "manifestation" in the 1st century, taking back his ransom sacrifice so that we would back "at the beginning" and sin would once again be in "control", see Rom 7:21-25)"

   "And just as it is reserved for men to die once for all time, but after this to receive a judgment, so also the Christ was offered once for all time to bear the sins of many; and the second time that he appears (invisibly) it will be apart from sin, and he will be seen (or discerned) by those earnestly looking for him for their salvation."

   So, Jesus Christ will not return to the Mount of Olives at Armageddon, for Armageddon is a WORLD WIDE situation that will pit the political "wild beast" or political nations against God's heavenly Kingdom, as Revelation 19:11-21 shows and as Daniel 2:44, 45 also explains, saying:

   "In the days of those kings (of "the feet and toes of iron mixed with clay", Dan 2:33, the Anglo/American world power, with the United States taking center stage on the world scene) the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed."

   "And this kingdom will not be passed on to any other people. It will CRUSH and put an end to all these kingdoms (or the entire political system with its some 8 billion supporters), and it alone will stand forever, just as you saw that out of the mountain a stone was cut not by hands,"

   "and that it crushed the iron, the copper, the clay, the silver, and the gold. The Grand God (whose name is Jehovah, see Isa 12:2, KJV) has made known to the king what will happen in the future. The dream is true, and its interpretation is trustworthy."
