  1. Socrates believed in true freedom of speech. To question everything no matter how moral or immoral the subject. “Without freedom their is no worth to life as there is no pursuit of meaning” -paraphrase of socrates.

  2. Freedom of speech gotta have limits like freedom of action. Speech leads to action so it’s idiotic to limit one without limiting the other. The fact that we didn’t find the right balance yet doesn’t mean it’s not the solution.
Especially with social media influencers and politicians, they have too much power over our youth and it’s dangerous

  3. Freedom of speech and expression may not be recognized as being absolute, and common limitations or boundaries to freedom of speech relate to libel, slander, obscenity, pornography, sedition, incitement, fighting words, classified information, copyright violation, trade secrets, food labeling, non-disclosure agreements, the right to privacy, dignity, the right to be forgotten, public security, and perjury. Justifications for such include the harm principle.

the only purpose for which power can be rightfully exercised over any member of a civilized community, against his will, is to prevent harm to others.
