Why is the ice slippery for the puck? It is not heavy enough to create anywhere near the amount of pressure on a skate blade, it does not ride on an edge, and NHL pucks are kept in freezers before use (so they slide better)…so they probably do not melt the ice by much at all when in contact.
This is patently false. Skaters don't come close to enough pressure to change the melting point of ice by even one degree.

Im not an expert or anything but i think this theory about the skating thing already got proven wrong 🤔
