to get rid of anxiety you just need to release positive chemicals into the brain steadily while being exposed to the things that give you anxiety. That's called stress management with steady exposure. Any clinical psychologist would tell you this that is worth their salt.
The chemical our brain is using to record a memory (sound, taste, image, smell) decides how we react to that memory in the future (positive, negative, inquisitive, or ignore)
positive and negative are easy to figure out.
inquisitive would be caused by a conflict of a two separate memories or one memory that has both positive and negative reactions. Ignore is something that we have seen before but not put a positive and/or negative connotation on to.
inquisitive would/could also be a recognition of a (potential) positive.
this is only looking at the chemical responses of good and bad and ignoring the effects of other instincts that this explanation is in and around instincts like hunger, breathing, and thinking.
