Who will you believe?
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH, BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE”. John 3:16 Immortality is contingent upon our belief in God’s only begotten son.
"The soul that sinneth, IT SHALL DIE." Eze. 18:4. Souls that sin die. They DO NOT live forever. Not even in hell.
"The living know that they shall die: but THE DEAD KNOW NOT ANYTHING." Eccl. 9:5. Think about it: of all who were resurrected in the Bible, did any give an account of any experience they had while they were dead? None. Not one.
"Which in His times He shall show, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; WHO ONLY HATH IMMORTALITY." 1 Tim. 6:15, 16. ONLY GOD HAS IMMORTALITY.
Jesus’ allegory of the rich man and the beggar in Abraham's bosom was just that — an allegory. Heaven consists of far more than one man's chest. There wouldn’t be enough room for all the redeemed in one man’s chest. It is an allegory.
“And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.” Isaiah 66:24 The word quench is a verb. What Isaiah is saying is that the fire will not be put out by anyone, and that God’s punishment will cannot be avoided. There is a difference between a fire burning itself out after it has CONSUMED all the fuel and its being quenched or put out.
God will not punish people for eternity for the sins of a lifetime. That would be inequity. God isn’t unfair.
