Some good nuggets of truth in this message. Although, I disagree about having to be told or taught about listening to Gods voice because I wasn't told or taught. I had experiences throughout my life that opened me up to see and hear. It was only after those experiences that I realized this is something all spiritual teachings were attempting to describe in some way, shape or form. And it should be clear that Gods voice does not belong to Christianity or any other religious organizations for that matter. And a person does not need to be a part of any religion to hear Gods voice.
There are those that learn about God and talk about God and read about other people's experiences with God.
And there are those who have direct experiences with and know God.
Those who know God, do not put God in a box and confine God to a book or a religion.
Books and religions, whichever ones they may be, are only words, images, symbols, metaphors and allegory, attempting to describe and point to God. They are like a finger pointing at the moon. But they in themselves are not God and the descriptions don't come close to the real, raw, and true experiences with God.
If a person has not had such experiences, then they will not truly understand the words of their religious text.
For example, a person could write a book about their experience deep sea diving and they can be as poetic, detailed and descriptive as possible. But the reader will never truly know what it is actually like to go deep sea diving until they have the experience for themselves. Then, if they went back to the book, it would all make so much more sense.
