I was telling everyone that maidana was one of my favorite fighters when he was active. Fell in love when I first seen him against Ortiz, fight of the year. That Erik morales fight was legend also. Even tho he lost against khan, khan didn’t look like a winner and khan said he wouldn’t fight maidana again
Maidana had insane power in his punches that broke down fighters mentally and their will to fight. Not the most technical boxer but he literally broke 2 great young fighters and ended their will to fight, 1 beign a 21 year old Victor Ortiz and 23 year old Adrien broner. Those 2 could of been legendary fighters if their managers would of steered them down the right path until they actually hit their prime instead of feeding them to the wolves at an early age
