A friend of mine took to me to see The Black Keys, in Manchester at a small venue called an academy, in 2010. I’d never heard of them.
The opening track, Patrick starts hammering the drums and I feel it vibrating through my legs into my chest and I remember looking around and seeing (I was standing) a row of people with their mouths open. That started my love of the band. What’s f** brilliant about this interview is that all they give a flying f*** about is their music and playing music. Sign of the times that you listen to 2 real artists, both in concert and interview and realise how f*** garbage the music industry is for people who don’t want to play the social media and TV appearance game. Dan, Patrick – f*** love you both, man. Newcastle, England.
Bruh tell me why green shirt walker only gets .05 seconds of air time on camera 😂🤣😭 6:20 ☠️
Love the Black Keys. Just raw, gritty rock n' roll at its finest.
He’s spot on with his target demographic, my dad introduced me to the black keys and he fit the description at 4:00 perfectly, has shelves full of records and there’s something different on every day
Black Keys acting like they didn't want the limelight too at that point smh. If they didn't have that commercial success, they wouldn't be able to feed their families the way they're able to now or even be on JRE. It's easy to say all this after you've reaped the benefits.
