In the crucifixion painting there are obvious angels portrayed with halos and wings above Jesus. The two craft with humans in them were purposely not painted with halos and wings…. The creator of the painting did not think the flying crafts (assuming they are two different crafts) were piloted by angels. I think it's super interesting that the painter portrayed them as human. 😮
