The Book of Jasher is also called The Book Of The Upright. It was mentioned by King Solomon in the Bible. "Is it not written in the book of the upright?"
They had books and teachings before the Bible, too, but nobody talks about the education of the children. Two other books are mentioned, I can't remember the names, but they are also mentioned in the Old Testament.
The Coptic Christian Bible of the Ethiopians who have been tested to have Levi ancestry has more than 66 books. It isn't the only one.
You give all sorts of credence to the odyssey and the epic of gilgamesh, but you take issue with a book referenced by the wisest man who God ever blessed?
The Bible is about man.
The Sumerian epic is about the gods.
(They are telling the same story from different angles)
The Odyssey is about the hero's journey illustrating man's battles with and against the powers in high places.
The Epic of Gilgamesh is the hero's journey of the powers in high places in the quest against mortality.
(They are referencing the same archetype with a different quest- one to avoid death, one to test life).
Ashurbanipal's library proves the latter two aren't the oldest ever books. There are many, many older books… just awaiting translation.
