I really enjoyed ‘Joker’ as a Scorsese-esq character study like ‘Taxi Driver’ or ‘King Of Comedy’, but as an origin story for my personal favourite villain in all of fiction, it didn’t work for me. I honestly think I’d like it more if it wasn’t The Joker but just a guy.
