When my hubby flew F16 Vipers about 8 years ago (he now flies a F22) he was stationed in Alaska and yes it was horrible how bad the skeeters are.. It was so fucking bad and yes that picture of the foots is very true… I was sleeping in the hamok in the back yard one time and when i woke up both of my hands was totally covered in them some so full of my blood they couldn't even fly away… It was the shit of nightmares and after that for the next two years we was up there i was very careful because seeing that and then how swollen my hands became for about a day and a half after i never ever was careless again. And the Alaska skeeters are different then skeeters you are used to, they are about 2 to 3 times the size of normal skeeters you see in like Florida (where we are now) and when they fill up with blood it's so yucky how fat they are and some times they can't fly because they are to full and weigh to much to take off. *GAGSSSS*
