3. Our veterans don't get as much respect as they deserve but I'm happy it's not like it was in the Vietnam era with all the anti-soldier hate from the protesters (for the most part). I have a lot of family that has served in the past and in Iraq and Afghanistan. My Father was a marine, Two Uncles retired from the Air Force, two more Uncles who served in the Army and another Uncle went to Vietnam, two cousins who served in the Middle East and a few other family members. Our soldiers deserve respect, nobody who hasn't served can fully understand what these people have went through (including myself).
   From a Yankee up here – not everyone in NY is a precious little snowflake.
