Simpsons suffered a lot losing Phil Hartman…erm I mean Troy McClure
Its funny to think sbout Phil as someone who was worried about his image. Originally he didnt even want to be in the spotlight, he was happy writing scripts. He helped write PeeWees big adventure, and got 150k for it. It was his friend John Lovitz that convinved him to join SNL.
I was watching "Newsradio" for years, and his death just knocked me down and stomped my soul.
Damn, we still miss you, sir! 😢
RIP Phil Hartman
My first real memory of Phil was in Blind Date, with Bruce Willis and Kim Basinger. A really great guy. Never will forget him as Frank Sinatra on SNL telling Sting as Billy Idol- "I've got chunks of guys like you in my stool"
