  1. So let me get this straight: this guy is arguing that because many different cultures throughout history have had different names and likenesses for the concept of a sentient creator of reality (god) that this somehow invalidates the possibility of god? So I guess I'm supposed to believe that a man who has spent his entire life studying a reality that he did not create, and was himself born into has the answers to the question of why and how we are here? That is like me buying an old house and studying the blueprints until I know everything there is to know about the physical layout of the house, and then proclaiming that the house had no creator on the basis that I have quantified the physical characteristics of this house. That logic is not sound. Why then would you extend a logical fallacy to the question of your very own existence? Is a creation not evidence of a creator? If you were to discover an ancient, complex marble temple in the desert would you conclude that because the creator is neither seen nor heard by you at present that the temple simply popped into existence by it's own will? No of course not, so what logic do you use to conclude that an organized, infinitely complex system that is the universe has come from nothing? Especially since if you are wrong there could be grave consequences. Not to mention the fact that there is a huge continuity between three major religions that make up the majority of the worlds population: Christianity, Judaism and Islam. All three of these religion's speak of the same oneness of god, the importance of being a good person and the consequences of being a bad person. So the way I see It, is this guy is throwing the baby out with the bath water. Saying that different conceptions of god invalidates the universal concept of god is like saying that I'm black because I'm not white.

  2. You have no clue what God is. You just follow the narrative of the church, the servants of which, also has no clue at all. If you understand Advaita Vedanta ( a filosophy, not a religion!) you can no longer deny the existence of a God. Although you cannot prove the existence, you can also no longer deny it as well. You simply must admit that the possibillity of a God is there. The only people who absolutely, for 100% sure know that God exists are enlightent people. One example of such a 'person' is Eckhard Tolle, of which dozens of video's here on YouTube exist. The reason that 'person' stands between quotes is that in someone enlightened the person inside has desolved.
