1:39 I agree, salvation is a process. I can only testify for me. I my Faith in The Most High GOD YHWH and HIS WORD Jesus Christ started around 5 or 6. It wasn't like a Sunday school teacher asked me if I believed, I just knew in my heart that I believed in GOD, although I did not know HIS name and I believed in Jesus Christ.
Side note*: I know the true day of the Sabbath and do my best to just rest on that day and haven't took part in a pagan holiday in more than 25 years. Also, I have 100% Faith that YHWH is the true power and creator and that HIS WORD Jesus Christ is my Saviour.
There is no doubt I have sinned and should be dead, at least many times over. But, I'm alive and have turned away from those things that I at least know are sin. Some sins that were habitual are now not even thought of – but, I admit smoking is a sin I have been turning away from but then every once in a while, I sin and smoke. This is something I truly am sick of but I have come far from a pack a day to whenever I get the urge and don't try to over power the urge. For at one time I gave no thought to it as sin but now at least I believe it's sin and i have faith that , at the least all I know that is sin, YHWH will deliver me from it. For HE has delivered me from habitual sins I never thought I would stop and death. I'm thankful to YHWH, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit the Heavenly Angels for all they have done to help humanity And me. And, I agree in praising YHWH in both good and bad times.
There was a time in my life I hurt a connection between the rib and vertebrate (sublux facet is the technical term). I never once was mad with the Most High GOD over the span of all the years I dealt with pain on levels that were daily between 5 and 9.
Yes, salvation is a process. My understanding of what this means may differ from you – but, in general I think once someone accepts Jesus Christ as their Saviour, the process of Salvation starts. Like for instance, the one man who was saved when he was being crucified with Jesus. His salvation maybe took minutes or a number of hours. My Salvation started as a child accepting Jesus Christ as my Saviour, I then went through many years of rebelling, like getting drunk or smoking. I even fought but that too stopped as a teenager.
I have grown so much in turning away from most sin, only because of my Faith and wanting to do what is right in the eyes of YHWH. I do believe anything that I know is a sin will one day be forgotten and only doing what is Righteous in the eyes of YHWH will I do. Because seeking HIS Will is all I care about. For instance, listening to 'The Book of the Law' , the 613 commandments that are found in the Bible. I know some laws are no longer practiced because, just two examples – there is no Temple and we have the Ultimate sacrifice in the WORD of GOD made flesh, Jesus Christ. So, we know longer sacrifice animals for our sins.
I have carried on longer than I thought I would, I hope this testimony will give someone hope. For when I was only around 12 I was depressed for a few years. I have no doubt demons or beings from the dark side were putting images in my mind that were attacking Jesus Christ and I truly wanted a lobotomy to stop these sickening attacks I saw in my mind that were against Jesus Christ. I praise YHWH that I never killed myself and kept seeking HIM.
