Shalom family, Pesach (Passover) 2023 is almost upon us, and there’s something that needs to be voiced. It seems that many of you have questions about the meal, and the service; rightly so. The scriptures tell us to eat three things: lamb, unleavened bread and bitter herbs, that’s it. Yet, the predominant rendition of the Passover meal, is the seder plate, and service. Most are unaware, that this practice stems from pagan origins, as we will prove momentarily. Is this something we should be intermingling with this holy day that represents Messiah?

This is the first Passover in my life when all we had was the three items mentioned in Torah. I'm not going to lie, i really enjoyed it. It made me realize how much focus and effort I put on traditions in the past. This year the Passover meal was actually the meal instead of only symbolic traditions. Doing it this way made us feel closer to Yah. It also felt more related to how it was done on the night it was done in Egypt.
Thank you for this video Adam. It's what motivated me to have a Passover meal strictly based on the Written Torah. I plan on this being how we do it in my house going forward. Shalom achi.
Great video. I am Polish Roman Catholic. Many things we are taught are not from the Bible. Stations of the Cross for one. In fact, there are books that are not part of the cannon of the Bible because they simply don't align. So maybe the Seder has some Pagan links, but I guess Catholic communion must also have some remote Pagan connections too. I did not know that the Talmud could be considered sinister… I have to look into that. But, yes, for Passover we should be eating lamb (that was sacrificed at a local temple to God's law), unleavened bread, and bitter herbs. I am thinking about observing Passover as a Christian, but in two parts… the Seder as described in exodus, then communion as Jesus had. "When supper had ENDED, Jesus took a cup…."
So in the 2nd part of the supper: wine, bread, remembrance, and why not some symbols from the Jews exodus from salvery and Passover (just as Jesus may have recalled DURING his Seder supper)… reclining, lamb, unleaven bread, bitter herbs, dipping twice in salt water, egg, charot, horseradish, 4 questions, 4 cups of wine.. and such. Observe it as the Lord has directed, and then, disconnected from the Seder, continue in a way that should please the Lord… going an extra step. I think God would be ok with that as long as it remains holy.
Since when Jesus is part of the Passover ? And Passover is for the Hebrew people.
The word "herbs" is in italics in Exodus 12. It is not included in the original text.
A quick word search will reveal that this word is not describing something that tastes bitter at all. Rather, it is describing their emotional health as they waited on the death angel to Passover.
Lamb, Wine and ULB is all that is required for Pesach. I encourage you to look it up for yourselves.

Pesach is a celebration of one nation over/about attempted genocide off other nation.
what is there to celebrate? slathering innocent children? eye for an eye? really?
even saving Hebrews, there had to be a slaughter of innocent animals (lambs) so that the angel of death would pass over the hose, where the blood was as a paint over the door. how fucked up is that?
