Richard Dawkins on DMT , that will cure him , but then knowing him , he will rationalize it away !!!
I'm an atheist,43 years old and can't remember the last time I've been happy. People tell me to try and take god into my life, but I just can't. Too many myths, flaws, and superstition when it comes to the Catholic church, and other religions. But I'm not happy now so I'm definitely doing something wrong, but I believe in science and evolution.
I respect Richard Dawkins a lot, but it’s my strong sense that he is afraid to try psychedelics because so much of his identity is wrapped up in his hyper rational reductionism that
the logical world as he knows it might fall apart. AKA his fear of a “bad trip”. Resisting and fiercely holding onto ego and a sense of control is almost guaranteed to produce a challenging experience. As for bad trips there are no such thing…there’s learning every time.

for a guy that is BIG on evidence, Dawkins uses a lot of personal opinion to debunk religion.
Think of heaven as the ultimate extreme of life's worst extremes. We know the spectrum of life extremes are real. You can see them in society. Heaven is being able to reach the ultimate best extreme. The problem? To reach the ultimate best extreme demands giving up crime, brutality, abuse, self hate — any kind of ill will towards self and others. I don't know of a more self evidence reality. Something politicians promise but can't deliver because they are too corrupt and lie.
What makes criminals, monsters and demons vs saints and great people? An evolved and superior character. That's it.
