Ok, why is it Saturday? I know it's the seventh day of our week in the West and the commandment is for the seventh day, but which one? The Israelites followed a lunar calendar. Saturday is part of the solar calendar. In a lunar calendar you would start counting days from each new moon and then you'd also never have a solar Shabbat fall in the middle of a Feast.
