Falling down with Michael Douglas is a good parallel. The road of nihilism portrayed in a very interesting way.
1st I love it
2nd the director needs to get over the fact that people call it a comic movie. It is based on a comic. Taking that aspect away, in my opinion, it takes away the love of the movie
this was not "the real joker" , more like a serial killer version of the real joker ,which is more of a criminal mastermind. Heath Ledger played the "real joker" in the Dark Knight. This version was just a fucked up serial killer but it was still a great Joaquin Phoenix performance. The negative aspect of this movie I would say is the glorification of a serial killer, the movie makes you side with a demented freak and in the end you find yourself rooting for him despite what he is. Nevertheless this is still the best serial killer movie I've ever seen…I will give this movie a 4/5 stars
