The movie is a masterpiece, but not the masterpiece I expected or hoped for? First of all if the city wasn't Gotham and the Wayne's weren't in it then it could just be a brilliant movie called Joker which focused on a cruel society's mistreatment of a man with a disturbing mental illness.
There is no question that Phoenix did an amazing job. But, I was waiting for a Joker movie, mentions of the Wayne's murders, the Redhood, Ace Chemicals and the end of the movie to elude to Bruce's return to Gotham and so the hint of Batman. 😅 safe to say I was disappointed that it wasn't the comic book movie we are usually delivered.
Please try and get Joaquin Phoenix on!!!!!!!!!
I just hate how if you don’t like the movie then you automatically “didn’t understand it” or “you’re not intelligent enough to appreciate it” . Lol I just didn’t like the movie 🤷🏿♂️
