But how is it possible to get corruption out of publicly funded institutions?… the Canadian government is riddled with corruption and has been for a long time. :
Kyle didn’t explain how you would pay doctors what they want with everyone’s taxes. Joe asked, no answer, and that is the problem. Capitalism drives innovation and people to do better. Sad but true.
Look at Europe, it’s easy, you have public insurance and private insurance, where private insurance can give exactly the same service as the public insurance. It’s solves Joe’s problem, and you end up with the other one that is “how do you get doctors to work for the money the public insurance is willing to pay them”. The better ones will charge what they want in the private sectors.
The fact that we are STILL in 2021 having to debate this issue is SO depressing and speaks to how lazily ignorant Americans chose to be. I say choose because ALL of this info is freely available with a quick Google search, yet Americans choose to be willfully ignorant about this and so many other important things. Every old person basically starts counting down the days until they're eligible for medicare. THAT, right there, should be enough to tell you it's a good F'in thing.
Do you know that billions of dollars we pay to health insurance companies goes to campaign contributions. Talk to more Europeans about healthcare and their comfortable lives. They are much happier and healthier and their kids have it way better than us.
