People who support our current private system (only because they haven't analyzed the stats more than likely) always point out one or two problems with Canada or the UKs system and think they've got you.. Ill take 8/10 over 4/10 any day.

As a independent, single payer kinda does make sense. Problem is the only candidates that push it are terrible on all other issues. And insurance companies and big pharma have all our politicians bought
Most people don't know, medicare only pays 80%. The patient is responsible for 20% of charges. There is also a deductible. Bernie's medicare plan would cover these expenditures.
Massachusetts is actually a pretty conservative state if you look at the policies it implements. You can say that the universities are liberal ideologically, but that does not equate to reality.
