The counter to what he said about there being millions of new jobs is that the current jobs will be phased out and eventually lose their job. A Lot of them wouldn't be able to get a job in these new markets.

The Syrian civil war is very likely the first war due to climate change. After the worst drought in at least 900 years, people that lived in rural areas migrated to cities. Cities that do not have the infrastructure to support the sudden influx of people. It basically became a refugee crisis within their own country. Combine that kind of instability with a dictator that rules with an iron fist and that cake don't bake… it explodes. If similar discontent happens in Central, South America, and even Mexico where do you think those people will run to. I don't want it built but sometimes I wonder if we'll regret not having it 10-20 years from now.
What if you believe that global warming is real but you know that the government can't do shit about it? The new deal was a failure, there was unemployment in the double digits all throughout the 30, don't talk about job creation
Again making claims about the future and instigating fear. I have been seeing this since my childhood, and I am fed up. I know sea level is rising and there are less stars to see at night compared to my childhood. But left seriously doesn't have any solution or factual grasp of the issue. I would wait for a leftist leader who would actually propose pragmatic solutions. And, please don't start with the bullshit that world would end by then, because that rhetoric is even older than me.
