HISTORY OF ABRAHAM'S FAMILY.

The story of Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Hagar, and Ishmael is a parable to teach us something ( Rom 15:4)
1. Abraham's heir represents God's heir.
Abraham is likened with God the Father in the parable of Lazarus and the rich man.
(Luke 16:19-30)
Keeping this in mind, let's read about real Abram (God named him Abraham only after Isaac's birth) and his heir.
2. Three candidates.
Since he and his wife were childless, Abram decided to adopt a son,
Eliezer, the slave. But God rejected him because he was not from Abram's body.
(Ge 15:2-4)
At this, jis wife Sara asked her slave woman Hagar to go to Abram and Ishmael was born
( Ge 16:15-16)
But God rejected him as well, because although he was from Abram's (a free man's ) body, his mother was not a free woman but a slave and God promised Abram that his wife Sarah (a free woman) will bear him a son, Isaac who'll inherit his estate.
(Ge 17:18-19)
3. Why Isaac was chosen over others?
Because he was child of a free mother Sarah.(Gal 4:30).
4. The inheritors of God's estate, Heaven.
We all are God the Father's children,
(Matt 6:9). who's FREE from sins.
But are we Children of a Mother who's FREE from sins?
Yes, we are.
Gal 4:26 But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother.
And
Gal 4:28 Now you, brothers and sisters, like Isaac, are children of promise.
5. Unless we accept " Our Mother " God, we can never inherit the kingdom of heaven.
But what does Scripture say?
Gal 4:30-31 "Get rid of the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman’s son.” Therefore, brothers and sisters, we are not children of the slave woman, but of the free woman."

How to get SALVATION (be saved):
1. Admit that you are a sinner.
Romans 3:32
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”.

“For the wages of sin is death”.
2. Believe that Jesus paid for your sin at the cross.
Romans 5:8
“But God demonstrates His own love for us: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us”.

“but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus”.
Ephesians 2:8-9
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.”
3. Confess that Jesus is the Son of God, and commit your life to him.
Romans 10:9
“That if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved”.
4. Repent (What does repent mean and do? To repent is a change of mind, that leads to a change of heart, that leads to a change in actions. This “change” involves both a turning from sin and a turning to God.)

“But unless you repent, you too will all perish”.
Acts 3:19
“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord”.
2 Peter 3:9
“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance”.
Once you come to Salvation then comes baptism. (Baptism is an act in which symbolizes one’s renewal/purification and becomes a child of God with the power of the Holy Spirit through water, whether the water is poured on to the forehead or one’s body is immersed into it. This symbolizes the death of our flesh with Christ and our new life through Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit.)
Acts 2:38
Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
Galatians 2:20
“ I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
Galatians 3:26-27

Do not worship/sacrifice to other gods; you will only bring harm to yourself.
Jeremiah 25:6
“and do not go after other gods to serve them and to worship them, and do not provoke Me to anger with the work of your hands, and I will do you no harm”.

Jesus Christ wants you to have a personal relationship with him. He cares and loves you more than his own life that he gave it up for you to be saved. Jesus Christ is the ultimate sacrifice for all mankind; to atoned away all of our sins with his precious life and blood, that we may share in his Kingdom (1 John 2:2 “He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world”).
Jesus Christ is not about being religious but to be in unity with him and allow him to deliver you from the bondage that this sinful body (flesh) is doomed for; eternal hell (John 3:36 “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him”).
Only through Jesus Christ will you ever get to heaven (John 10:9 “I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture”). Seek Jesus Christ only: no other gods can save you from God’s wrath. God’s wrath is not a joke or to be taken lightly (Hebrews 10:31 “It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God”). Remember he is our Creator and all things are possible with him (Matthew 19:26).
