Stop! Stop saying people bully because they have no self-esteem. It is no different than the man who beats his wife and subjugates his children for his ego. Studies show that bullies are not necessarily reacting to bullying in their own lives. A lot of the time, they are entitled, overly coddled kids who think they have the right to push other kids down. My daughter was bullied so badly by her volleyball team, and the coach, that she started slashing her own arms and legs.
She got picked or the V-ball team after not being on the coach's club team, and not attending the $500 V-ball camp. She strolled in on the last day of camp, on the same day she just arrived home from grandpa's house in Texas. It was unorthodox for a student to make the team without the club, and without the summer camp.
I could tell at orientation that the club parents resented us. I was even asked which club my daughter attended, to which I said none. They thought they could buy their kid athleticism, and were pissed that my daughter creamed them without paying all that money. The worst part was, one girl, who had been in the $5000 a year club, and had attended the camp did not make the team. Waaaa! She got to try-out again, and wow, she made the team. Yet, even though she had to try out twice, she got played on every single game while my child sat on the bench. Apparently winning is not as important as pleasing the parents who pay you five grand a year.
It was brutal the way the coach and the players targeting my kid. Finally, she beat a little bitch's ass, on video, in front of the entire school. I was called in to the office, and knew what happened. I put my combat boots on and marched into the school, daring any one of the fuckers to tell me my child was the problem. I told the vice principal that my daughter would have scars for the rest of her life because she had been coming home and cutting herself to relieve the pain of being bullied by, not only the other players, but the coach too.
The stupid bitch doubted me until I produced multiple emails I had sent to the admins at the school, as well as the school board. I looked that woman straight in the eye and said, "I'm glad my daughter took it out on those who deserve it. It is much better for me that she do that rather than come home and butcher her own body."
It was sick. And it happens in all schools in every economic area. The schools fail our kids. Then they make our kid to be the problem when they lash out. I'd rather see my kid beat a person's ass than come home and carve into her leg with a razor blade. Fuck those other kids and their coach. it is rampant.
Bullying nowadays is sadistic. It’s no longer someone being made fun of and then developing some tough skin from it. It’s relentless taunts of kids saying “Kill yourself” and physical abuse.
It’s obvious that the cause of this is a low self-esteem epidemic. Having a poor diet seems to contribute to these kids feeling bad and I truly wonder if kids had a balanced diet at school what it would do to their behavior.
