Where are the videos of these Ugandan pygmies? I want to see if I can understand their language. I know some languages from near the Congo Uganda border.
Come to think of it, I live in Uganda and I have never actually seen a pygmy. And I have been to Kasese near the Congo border.
You could just as well be talking about Martians. I should probably get to the bottom of this.
Ray Mears met an African tribe that use bows to hunt. Their bows were fragile & weak, could only be drawn a few inches, but were effective enough to hunt with. He later gave the chief an English longbow as a gift. The tribe saw it as some kind of super-weapon, marvelling at it's power & advanced (medieval) technology.
Sorta sucks that we didn't get to hear the whole story about the hunting and the bows, black potatoes etc , but why is Joe or anyone for that matter, so shocked that kids are learning to use a bow before they walk or practicing on rats? It's the jungle, they're hunter gatherers…it's how all humans use to live their lives before settling down, raising and domesticating animals and growing crops.
