Maybe, the industry served as a catalyst for that yearning appetite for real conversation??? Or maybe the appetite for real conversation is the yang to the ying that is “the industry”
The medium is the message kids
Of course their is a incredible hunger for real conversation we live in a world were relationships have become a joke and hook up culture has almost ruined dating, once you take out the fact that most people in the west are live check to check and working long hours that hunger for real conversation is at a peak… Most 20-30 year old's are lost and desperately want and need that deep level of thought and communication with other people to re-assure them that their is some sanity in this world and to connect with other people.
Its depressing but just consuming pop culture and living in the west while being addicted to social media and never having a deep conversation or connection with another human being is what is pushing the depression and suicide rates up.
Met Kinison at one of shows before he hit big, his bits were incredibly funny, and he was cool and likely not high and definitely not drunk after the show. Shame what happened to him.
