An amazing piece of art. Extraordinary quality and an modern example of a well written, well planned, and well directed film.
People don't like films that rips a scab from a lie they come to love. The history of Seneca Village and the eminent domain NY used to steal it away from blacks is one such lie.
You know, I really don’t believe a lot of the power brokers in Hollywood really understand or cherish acting talent. I believe Edward Norton is constantly fighting this dysfunctional Establishment to attempt to create a project (movie or TV) that is true to the true art of creativity in acting and writing. It’s akin to Trump fighting the Political Establishment. Establishments want to maintain their power and will ultimately attempt to marginalize people like Trump and Norton who have a more constructive and positive road to take.
Ed thank you for making this… no one is making movies like this anymore. Miss you in movies – loved you since American History X just blew me away!
Underrated, brilliant film. Hats of to Norton.
