My cousin, Ronnie Barron, was a musician…keyboard player with Dr John in New Orleans. I’m Dr. John played guitar but got his fingertip shut off protecting my cousin from a guy that pulled a gun after my cousin was hooking up with his woman. Dr. John then had to switch to piano. Ronnie went to Hollywood and played the bartender that gets his ass kicked and later killed by Steven in the movie. He and Steven were close back then. My dad was an undercover narc in New Orleans in the 70s- 80s with the biggest drug bust at the time and in one scene when Seagal gets arrested and is brought in to the police precinct my cousin says my dad‘s name in the background stating “ I have a lil cousin in New Orleans who’s on the force named Bob Foo-kay….ever heard of him”?. My cousin thought it was the coolest thing but my dad was like WTF dude. 😂 Ronnie died of heroine about 15 years ago. He led a pretty wild life.
