The coolest thing about Brandos acting is that everyone adopted it, and it’s since then it’s hardly changed. Basically every actress and actor you watch on tv is acting like he did. Unless it’s a sitcom. Otherwise 9/10 times Brando style. What’s kinda crazy is the way Brando acts can be applied to much older pieces too, like Shakespeare, and it works perfectly, like as if it was meant to be said that way to begin with. Just watch Denzel’s Macbeth.
Bonus: I was trying to think of good polished actors nowadays, and the only person that I can think of is Robert Downey Jr…. God he is so good at acting. He leans into whatever that thing is in him and it’s just perfect.
Anyways, /End_Ted_Talk
Actors are empty narcissists who spend their days as an artists puppet in front of lights pretending to be fully rounded people. I should know, I was one.
Ed I think when Brando showed his vulnerability it was more powerful Because he presented himself as powerful and masculine but Eventually revealed that vulnerability. He wasn't crying when u first meet his character. He gives u journey to that which makes it much more powerful.
