2:58 Joe, there are functioning addicts everywhere, you’ll usually only see the zombified type of addicts on the news. I was addicted for 10 years, never once OD’d, but my brother was the zombified type of addict where you just pass out and never know if that’s their last time or not. But don’t forget, there’s a lot of carpenters in this country, who have worked themselves to the bones for decades and you can’t just take off a few days cuz you tore a ligament or broke a finger, doctors handed out opiates like Candy, got enough of us addicted to the point where you usually don’t get to see the other side where you come out sober and on a path to victory. I’ve been trying to taper off of methadone, which is 10x harder than any heroin or fentanyl and I’d be scared to get back on heroin cuz I’m pretty sure they phased that out with fentanyl and xzylazine or however it’s spelled. I would’ve gotten back on heroin if I knew heroin still existed and I could actually find it everyday, but that’s wishful thinking.
